Conekta - Fintech

Conekta is a payment platform in Mexico. While cash and transfer solutions work well for companies with the technical know-how to implement the API, smaller businesses with less technological expertise still require a simple and fast payment platform.
To generate the payment link, we followed a four-step process:
We interviewed multiple small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Mexico to comprehend their needs and prior experience with payment links or comparable solutions.
Additionally, we conducted desktop research to gain insight into the available solutions and their advantages.

Working with the project manager, development team, and designer, we defined what the clients in Mexico needed and what was technologically feasible.
We spent several days brainstorming ideas that could address the need for an easy-to-implement payment method.
Here is how the payment link process works:
1. The owner of a company receives an order for a product or service from a client.
2. If the client prefers to pay by card, cash, or transfer, the owner can create a payment link that allows the client to pay without sharing their bank details with the seller.
3. The owner generates the payment link and sends it to the client through any social network, email, or SMS.
4. The client receives the payment link and selects their preferred payment method.
5. If paying by card, the client enters their payment information and clicks the pay button. The payment will then be automatically reflected in the owner's dashboard.
We created a prototype and tested it with users after selecting a specific idea. Our first test was with users who would make a payment through the link, and then with small merchants to ensure that the implementation and use were understandable and any necessary adjustments to the design were made
Through our usability tests with clients, we discovered technicalities that were unclear, and therefore we had to modify the language used.
Small business payment managers have a basic understanding of technology, so they welcomed an easier solution.
Customers who utilized the payment link found it to be a more secure and hassle-free method of payment, and generally, they had faith in the webpage.
We need to enhance the general accessibility of colors of all conekta products, including the payment link.
